Finite element analysis of artillery self-tightening body tube stresses

چکیده
The self-tightening technology of body tube is to apply a certain pressure in the inner bore so that corresponding residual stress generated tube, and can improve situation when it use extend its service life. Most existing research for large-caliber artillery are simplified thick-walled cylinder model, ignoring internal rifling chrome-plated processing factors, impact load on cracks stresses same did not take into account chrome layer. In order address above problems, this paper takes small-caliber as object, compares theoretical calculations with finite element simulation, carries out simulation ideal elastic-plastic steel tube.

Impact Stresses in Flapper Valves - A Finite Element Analysis
Impact stresses in flapper valves have been calculated on the basis of a finite element analysis. The impact velocity at initial contact used in the present calculations, 8 m/s, has been taken £rom previous high speed photographic measurements. Our calculations indicate that the final impact velocity at oblique impact exceeds 8 m/s significantly. This "whip-lash effect" gives rise to higher imp...
متن کاملFinite element analysis of active Eustachian tube function.
The inability to open the collapsible Eustachian tube (ET) has been related to the development of chronic otitis media. Although ET dysfunction may be due to anatomic and/or mechanical abnormalities, the precise mechanisms by which these structural properties alter ET opening phenomena have not been investigated. Previous investigations could only speculate on how these structural properties in...
متن کاملNonlinear Finite Element Analysis of Thermoelastic Stresses of FGM Rotating Disk Considering Temperature-Dependency of Material Properties
In the present paper, nonlinear radial and hoop thermoelastic stresses analysis of a disk made of FGMs material is investigated. According to this purpose, finite element method is used. In the present method, second-order one-dimensional element (with three node points) is proposed. The geometrical and stress boundary conditions are defined in the state of non-existence of external pressure an...
متن کاملFinite element analysis of thermo-mechanical stresses in diesel engines cylinder heads using a two-layer viscoelasticity model
Loading conditions and complex geometry have led the cylinder heads to become the most challenging parts of diesel engines. One of the most important durability problems in diesel engines is due to the cracks valves bridge area. The purpose of this study is a thermo-mechanical analysis of cylinder heads of diesel engines using a two-layer viscoplasticity model. In this article, mechanical prope...
متن کاملFinite Element Analysis of Functionally Graded Piezoelectric Beams
In this paper, the static bending, free vibration, and dynamic response of functionally graded piezoelectric beams have been carried out by finite element methodunder different sets of mechanical, thermal, and electrical loadings. The beam with functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM) is assumed to be graded across the thickness with a simple power law distributio...
